Patti West, RN, CNM |
Patti West earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree and her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Kansas. She became a Certified Nurse Midwife at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
West believes the practice of nurse-midwifery is an art and a science. She defines it as the interactive relationship between midwife and client, a relationship of mutual respect. West considers childbirth as a normal life event with the midwife as the facilitator, providing physical, spiritual and emotional support during the process.
